The labor, leadership, and creativity of these female visionaries turned the Hollywood film industry into one of the most successful forms of entertainment in the world.
Mary Mallory will reveal the trailblazing legacies of such women as Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Clare West, Red Wing, and others who made their mark on silent films at Paramount Studios as featured in her new book, First Women of Hollywood: Female Pioneers in the Early Motion Picture Business.
A book signing will follow the presentation.
