On February 22 at noon, Ryan Cassidy, son of Oscar winner Shirley Jones and the late Tony Award winner Jack Cassidy, will be in the gallery with his book "James Cagney Was My Babysitter" (co-authored by Johnny Ray Miller) to talk about his family's close ties with Hollywood tough guy James Cagney and growing up as a Cassidy.
Ryan’s mom co-starred with Cagney in the 1959 film “Never Steal Anything Small” and she and Jack socialized with him regularly, but it was Ryan who got to know the screen legend on an entirely different level. For one wondrous day, Cagney was Ryan’s babysitter.
