About the Event
From “Ozzie and Harriet” and “Adam-12” to now - Actor Kent McCord will appear in person to tell stories about his career in Hollywood, including his years (1968 - 1975) on the influential police drama "Adam-12," created by Robert A. Cinader and Jack Webb.
The LAPD sanctioned "Adam-12" and was instrumental in the show's accuracy in depicting police procedures. The show broke new ground by mounting cameras on the hood of the police cars to give viewers a sense of the excitement of riding along with the officers.
The success of "Adam-12" was responsible for ushering a new generation into police work in the 1970s.
Ryan Cassidy, who curated an "Adam-12" display as part of the current Broadcast from Hollywood exhibit, will moderate a Q&A with Kent McCord.
A vintage police car will make an appearance in the Hollywood Heritage parking lot!
