A TRIBUTE TO JACK OAKIE

Hollywood Heritage will present a tribute to actor and comedian Jack Oakie. Oakie appeared in over 100 movies and television programs in career that spanned from the 1920s to the 1960s. This program will include an overview of Oakie's life and career by David Sonne of the Jack Oakie Foundation.  Councilmember Megan Cottier will discuss the preservation of Oakridge, Jack's 11-acre estate which he shared with his wife Victoria until his passing in 1978.  A rare screening of a Jack Oakie feature from the Warner Bros. Archive Collection.  Please join us as we celebrate the life of one of America's most gifted and under-rated performers from the golden age of Hollywood!
